A gentle head-tilt reminder, then back to your work. TiltCue is a quiet Mac menu-bar companion with subtle screen glow, optional sound, and private weekly summaries.

Requirements: macOS 14 or later · Apple-silicon Mac · Compatible motion-enabled headphones.

Limitations and responsible use:
TiltCue is not a medical app or medical device. Readings and reminders can be inaccurate or missed, depending on the headset, its fit, your movements, reference, settings, firmware and macOS.
TiltCue only estimates changes in head tilt from compatible headphone-motion data. It does not measure spinal alignment or whole-body posture, provide health assessments, diagnose, treat, prevent or monitor medical conditions, or replace professional medical advice. A missing reminder does not mean your position is safe or healthy.
You are solely responsible for choosing compatible equipment, setting your reference and reminders, and deciding how to use and interpret TiltCue’s cues. Use your own judgment and do not rely on TiltCue for medical decisions or safety-critical purposes. This does not limit rights or responsibilities that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

## Can TiltCue be wrong, and who is responsible for its use?

## What does TiltCue measure?

TiltCue uses compatible headphone-motion data to notice sustained changes in head tilt relative to a reference you set. It does not measure spinal alignment or whole-body posture, and it is not a medical app or device.

## Which Mac and headphones do I need?

TiltCue requires macOS 14 or later, an Apple-silicon Mac, and headphones that provide compatible motion data to macOS. A Bluetooth audio connection alone is not enough. Not all AirPods models support the required motion data. Check your headphone, firmware and OS compatibility before purchase.

## Does TiltCue use a camera or microphone?

No. Headphone motion is processed on your Mac. TiltCue has no account, camera, microphone, advertising or third-party analytics. Derived history is kept locally for 90 days and can be deleted from the app menu.

## How do the reminders work?

Set a comfortable reference with five steady seconds, then choose a sustained-tilt delay from 5 to 120 seconds. Choose screen glow, a system banner or optional sound. You can pause tracking, snooze for ten minutes or set quiet hours.

## Will reminders interrupt my work or respect Focus?

Screen glow fades in and out over 2.2 seconds and does not block clicks or take keyboard focus. Only system banners require notification permission. App-managed glow and sound may still appear during Focus; choose System banner to follow macOS notification settings.

## Is there a subscription?

No. TiltCue has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Check the Mac App Store for the current purchase price in your region.

## Choose a TiltCue reminder

### Screen glow

A soft glow fades in and out over 2.2 seconds. It leaves the center of your work visible and does not block clicks or take keyboard focus.

- No notification permission needed
- May appear during Focus

Choose this when you prefer a visual cue around your work.

### System banner

Use the system notification style when you want macOS to manage how reminders are delivered. Declining banner permission does not disable tracking or screen glow.

- Notification permission required
- Follows macOS notification settings

Choose this when following your macOS notification and Focus settings matters most.

### Glow + sound

Pair the visual cue with the optional ding-ding sound. Sound uses your Mac’s current output. Pause, snooze and quiet hours let you control interruptions.

- No notification permission needed
- Glow and sound may occur during Focus

Choose this when you want an audible cue as well as a visual reminder.
