Source precedence
The canonical app registry owns stable identity, route, platform status, provider URL, native app ID, package ID, and artwork references. The provider listing owns changing storefront identity, availability, pricing, version, release notes, device requirements, and provider disclosures when a reviewed capture exists.
The site’s own product dossier supplies first-party feature context and limitations. It cannot override a current provider disclosure or silently fill an edition gap from a sibling platform.
Edition and storefront scope
Every observation is labeled as App Store/iOS or Google Play/Android and is linked to the exact provider page. Country or storefront scope is retained where a value depends on it, especially price, ratings, language, or availability.
A current iOS observation is never used to describe Android, and an Android Data safety observation is never used to describe iOS. A translated website page does not prove that the binary supports that language.
Freshness and stale behavior
Volatile provider observations use a short review window. The current automated and human-reviewed product checks target a maximum of 14 days for the facts used in discovery surfaces. A future release can refresh that window only through an explicit source change and audit update.
When a snapshot is stale, the page keeps stable identity and the direct provider link but suppresses old price, version, release-date, and positive constraint wording. Stale data is not made current by rebuilding the website.
Positive observations only
Automated Google Play checks record positive observations such as a visible “contains ads” or in-app-purchases marker and the Data safety sections that were present. If a badge or section is absent, the result is “not observed,” not proof that the condition is absent.
Owner-attested product disclosures are labeled separately from provider data. They describe the developer’s stated behavior for one edition and do not replace Apple privacy labels, Google Play Data safety, or platform services.
Screenshots and media
A screenshot is assigned to the provider edition and source URL from which it was captured. Product pages label the provider and platform beside a gallery, use descriptive captions where reviewed, and avoid presenting an iOS screenshot as Android proof.
Store media can change. The provider listing remains the current source for the exact creative and the site refreshes the registry references when a gallery changes.
What is never inferred
The system never infers price, “free,” no ads, no account, no tracking, no data collection, offline operation, safety, educational outcome, medical suitability, legal compliance, or reliability from a missing field, an old record, a sibling edition, or a marketing phrase alone.
When the site cannot verify a detail, the useful answer is a scoped unknown with a provider link. That is safer for people and for systems that quote the page.
