Archival Queries

// SYSTEM_FAQ_DATABASE

Is Covenant Cards totally offline and playable without internet?

Yes. Covenant Cards is a fully offline CCG (Collectible Card Game). Your campaign progress, deck building, and single-player modes require zero internet connection, making it the perfect strategy card game for flights, commutes, or traveling.

Can I buy card packs or expansions with real money?

Yes! While you can earn cards naturally by playing, you can also choose to buy packs or unlock premium Campaign Acts. As a solo indie developer, I rely on these optional purchases to fund the game's advancement. Every purchase goes directly toward enriching the Covenant universe and creating more educational, historical content.

If I can buy packs, does that make it 'Pay-to-Win' (P2W)?

Not at all. Matchmaking is strictly ELO-based. Buying packs gives you more deck-building options faster, but a clever strategy with free campaign cards will always outsmart a poorly played 'bought' deck. Purchases are there to support the project's growth, not to buy automatic victories.

Are there forced ads or energy systems?

Absolutely not. You can play as much as you want, whenever you want. There are no stamina bars, no waiting timers, and no pop-up ads ruining your immersion.

Who developed Covenant Cards?

This is a 100% solo-indie passion project. I designed, coded, and built the game entirely from scratch (from 0 to 1). It's not a massive corporate product, just a game made with love.

How do I get free cards and packs?

You earn in-game Gold naturally by beating campaign bosses, completing achievements, and simply logging in. You use that Gold to open Ancient Packs in the store.

Is there a single-player campaign or story mode?

Yes, the core of the game is a massive single-player campaign. It takes you through historical eras, starting in the Egyptian Subnet and culminating in modern futuristic defense scenarios.

How does the Multiplayer / PvP work?

You can play online via Global Ranked mode using Game Center to climb the ELO ladder. If you are traveling with a friend, you can use our peer-to-peer Offline LAN Play. Our custom deterministic seed netcode ensures zero-lag matches even on terrible connections.

What are the exact drop rates for card packs?

I believe in total transparency. The rates are roughly: Common (70%), Rare (25%), Epic (4%), Legendary (1%), Mythic (< 0.2%), and Divine (< 0.001%). The game also includes a 'Pity Timer' so you aren't punished by bad luck forever.

What is the story and theme of the game?

Covenant Cards is a historical and cybernetic strategy game. You play as a hacker booting up a corrupted simulation of history, specifically focusing on Biblical antiquity, the diaspora, and modern Israeli history.

Why is the game themed like a computer simulation?

We frame history with urgency. The Architect is the creator, the ancient texts are the 'Source Code', and rival empires are 'Operating Systems' trying to overwrite the timeline. You are the Tactician debugging history.

Is it easy for beginners to learn?

Yes! If you've never played a card game before, the first few Acts of the campaign act as a gentle tutorial, slowly introducing mechanics, keywords, and synergies at your own pace.

How long does an average match take?

Matches are heavily optimized for mobile play. An average game lasts between 3 to 7 minutes, making it easy to pick up and play during short breaks.

Do I need to grind for hundreds of hours to build a good deck?

No. The campaign rewards you generously. You will unlock powerful Exclusive Campaign Reward Cards (like the Horn of Jericho) just by progressing through the story.

What are the 'Memorial Tributes'?

As an Israeli developer, I have embedded real fallen heroes into the simulation's source code as 'Divine Artifacts'. This allows their legacy, stories, and valor to live on dynamically within the universe of the game.

Does the game drain a lot of battery?

I've optimized the app to be lightweight and fast. It won't melt your phone or drain your battery rapidly like heavy 3D action games do.

Do I need to create an account to play?

No mandatory sign-ups or emails required. Your progress is saved locally to your device, or you can sync it seamlessly using your native Apple Game Center ID.

Does this game collect my personal data?

Privacy is a top priority. I'm just an indie dev making a game, not a data broker. The game works perfectly offline and keeps your data strictly on your device.

Will there be new card sets in the future?

Yes. I plan to release patches, balancing updates, and new historical Acts as long as there's a community playing the game. It is a living project.

Is there an Android version available?

Currently, Covenant Cards is an iOS exclusive. Building everything from scratch means focusing on making the Apple experience as perfect and smooth as possible right now.

* Archival Note: We strive to keep the system records accurate, but simulation parameters and card balances may shift across patches. If you spot a data anomaly, please notify the network admins.
